I look forward to this moment each year… as my team and I work fervently to wrap up the season, I am also beginning to delve into creating 2023 for myself, my family and the studio. Part of this journey is choosing my word of the year. In 2022, my word of the year was “Flourish” - to grow, prosper, thrive, develop, blossom, bloom! We indeed did grow! We grew both personally and as a portrait studio (stay tuned for the studio bit in a future newsletter). 2022 did not go without its challenges (no need to delve into news we already know), we continued onward and upward…2022 ended on an incredibly high note! Believe has always had a very strong hold on me and how I run my life and this year as we continued to push ourselves and take risks, the word "BELIEVE" began to pop up in my daily journaling. I have mentioned my daily journaling in past emails and now I will share with you my newest practice. I have begun a new ritual called "I Believe" statements…a little diddy I came up with in November and a practice I will continue to do daily throughout 2023. In my “I Believe” journaling, I write down 5 things that I believe will happen that day and in the near future. This practice has helped to quiet the doubt and empower me to move into each day with my goals and beliefs firmly and passionately supported. It goes something like this... |

Try it! Have your children try it! It feels good…in fact it feels amazing! You will find your mindset begin to shift and you will feel empowered!
